Events

We host a variety of events throughout the year, combining fun, learning, and community celebration. Each term concludes with a whole-school assembly and Enrichment Day, bringing students, staff, and families together.

Through the Young Small Schools Group, our Primary students participate in an exciting two-night educational excursion, while Infants enjoy a one-day excursion, creating memorable learning experiences beyond the classroom.

Throughout the year, students also take part in many other engaging extracurricular events, fostering curiosity, teamwork, and a sense of fun.

Newsletters

Stay up to date with the latest news and exciting events at Maimuru Public School. Our fortnightly newsletters are ssent home with students on alternative Fridays and are also available to view on the School Bytes App and our School website.

Uniform

Children are encouraged to wear school uniform. The school community sees this as a means of showing pride in our school and giving the children a sense of belonging. School uniforms can be purchased through our P&C who sends out orders with the newsletter.

Community involvement

Maimuru Public School is located 14 kilometres from the major regional town of Young. The school is a close-knit community dedicated to the education and wellbeing of every student.

We value our strong partnership with the P&C Committee, which supports the school through regular fund raising events and community initiatives, helping to enhance learning opportunities and school programs for all students.
