With our unique rural setting, our school offers a range of spaces, tools and resources to support student learning. Whether it’s for study, sport, creativity or technology, our learning environments and resources provide students what they need to succeed.
Our school facilities
We offer a range of learning environments. They help students stay engaged, build confidence and enjoy every part of their school day. Our facilities may include:
- bright and comfortable classrooms
- a well-stocked library for reading and research
- sports fields for fitness and fun
- art and music program and performances spaces for creative learning
- student lap-tops and interactive white boards for digital learning.
Resources and technology
Our school uses modern technology and digital learning tools. Our resources help students learn, create and stay connected. As a NSW public school, we have access to shared programs and tools available to all schools in the state.
Our bright and comfortable classrooms.
Our learning spaces are designed to inspire and support every student. We have two spacious classrooms to cater for both Infants and Primary groups, providing a welcoming environment where children can learn, collaborate, and grow.
Our well-resourced library is a much-loved space that encourages curiosity, creativity, and love of reading - helping every student learn and thrive.
Our technology and digital learning tools.
The students have access to computers. Each child is allocated a laptop for use throughout the year.
Students are allocated times for working individually on computers and time is also allocated for group activities. Interactive white boards are used for lessons in the classrooms.
We have subscriptions to a number of evidence-based online learning platforms which students have regular access to both at school and at home.
Science for hands-on experience.
At Maimuru Public School, we believe science is best learned by doing! Our pupils become curious explorers, asking questions, making predictions, and discovering how the world works through exciting, hands-on experiments. From growing plants and investigating materials to exploring forces, every lesson is filled with wonder and discovery. We nurture children’s natural curiosity, encouraging them to think scientifically, work collaboratively, and develop a lifelong love of learning about the world around them.
Sports fields and open spaces for fitness and fun.
We believe that learning happens both in and out of the classroom. Our well-maintained sports fields and open green spaces give students plenty of room to stay active, play, and enjoy the outdoors. From team games and physical education lessons to lunchtime fun and after-school activities, our grounds are designed to promote fitness, teamwork, and a lifelong love of movement.

Student opportunities and activities
Discover the wide range of sports and activities your child can enjoy at Maimuru Public School. As part of the Young Small Schools Network, our students come together toa take part in three major carnivals each year - athletics, swimming and cross country. They also have the chance to represent our school in PSSA competitions, building teamwork, confidence and school spirit along the way.
